Attorney Maria Rivera-Cotto is the founder and owner of the Law Office of Maria M. Rivera-Cotto in Worcester, MA where she litigates a variety of family law and criminal law cases.

Attorney Rivera-Cotto has been practicing law for over 18 years. She began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney with the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office where she conducted jury trials of domestic violence and other criminal cases. Since then, she has gained extensive business operations and litigation experience handling complex family and juvenile law matters while working with a local legal aid office; as the Managing Attorney with a mid- sized law office and as a private practice business owner.

Attorney Rivera-Cotto has a BA degree from Boston College and a Juris Doctorate degree from Suffolk University Law School. She is licensed to practice law in MA; the Federal District Court and the United States Supreme Court.

Attorney Rivera-Cotto is a board member and General Counsel of the Massachusetts Women of Color Coalition.
